Chennai, Sep 15 (UNI) Officials of the Customs Air Intelligence

Unit (AIU) on Friday seized six ball pythons of various morphs

and a black squirrel from a passenger who arrived from Bangkok

at the Anna International airport here.

Airport sources sid, based on intelligence, a male Indian passenger

who arrived from Bangkok was intercepted by the AIU Officers.

On examination of his checked-in baggage, 16 numbers of Ball Pythons

(various morphs) and one number of black squirrel were found concealed

and the same were recovered and the same was seized under the Customs

Act, 1962.

Further investigation is under progress, the sources said.
